10-Day Family Itinerary – The Great Migration Season

Your Family Tanzanian adventure begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro Airport and a transfer to Arusha National Park. Here, you’ll embark on a walking safari, encountering diverse wildlife like Colobus monkeys and giraffes while learning about Maasai survival techniques and medicinal plants. Visit to the small Jewish community in Arusha. We will be hosted by the Rabbi and his wife in the Arusha synagogue where they will share their unique story of building a Jewish life in Tanzania. The following day offers a tranquil experience with kayaking on Lake Duluti, surrounded by lush vegetation and diverse birdlife. An afternoon safari in Lake Manyara National Park provides opportunities to spot tree-climbing lions and forest elephants, showcasing the park’s unique ecosystem. This combination of wildlife encounters and peaceful nature experiences sets the stage for the journey ahead in this Jewish Safari in Tanzania.
The trip then delves into cultural immersion and exciting activities. You’ll visit the Hadza and Datoga tribes, learning about their traditional hunting, gathering, and metalworking skills. An exhilarating zipline adventure through baobab trees provides stunning views, while a visit to an orphanage adds a meaningful dimension to the journey. The next day is dedicated to exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a haven for diverse wildlife. A safari on the crater floor, complete with a picnic lunch, offers unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities. The journey continues to the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including a visit to a Maasai village for a glimpse into their culture and traditions. Day 1: - Arrival and Arusha National Park Adventure

We will meet at Kilimanjaro Airport for a warm welcome before heading straight to the stunning Arusha National Park, located at the foothills of Mount Meru. This park,
home to a variety of wildlife, offers a chance to spot the unique black-and-white Colobus monkeys and boasts the highest concentration of giraffes in Tanzania.
In Arusha, we’ll embark on a walking safari, immersing ourselves in the wild and untamed nature. Along the way, we’ll not only encounter fascinating wildlife but also learn about medicinal plants and how the Maasai tribe has mastered survival in these lands.
Prepare for an unforgettable start to your adventure!
After your safari in Arusha, we will arrange a visit to the small Jewish community in Arusha. We will be hosted by the Rabbi and his wife in the Arusha synagogue where they will share their unique story of building a Jewish life in Tanzania.

Day 2: - A Day of Peaceful nature

Start your morning at the peaceful Lake Duluti, nestled within a volcanic crater. Glide
across the serene waters on a kayaking excursion, surrounded by lush vegetation
and an incredible variety of birds – a true paradise for nature lovers.
In the afternoon, continue to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon safari drive. Discover the park’s diverse wildlife around the alkaline lake.

Day 3: - Lake Eyasi Tribe and the Zipline Adventure

Today, we venture into the heart of the Hadza tribe, an ancient community of hunters and
gatherers who live in caves and makeshift huts. They speak one of the click languages.
During our visit, we will engage in their daily activities and learn the fascinating art of
archery, honing our skills with a bow and arrow. Next, we’ll experience the Datoga
tribe, known for their metalworking and cattle herding. Here, we’ll witness the creation of
arrows from recycled metals and learn about the important traditional roles of the women in
their society.
After lunch, get ready for an exhilarating experience as we glide across the towering
baobab trees on a zip line (mto wa mbu). It’s an adrenaline-packed activity that offers
incredible views of the landscape!
Throughout the day, we’ll also visit an orphanage, where you’ll have the opportunity
to participate in educational and social activities with the children, making this
journey not only adventurous but meaningful.

Day 4: - Safari Day in Ngorongoro Crater

Today is dedicated to exploring the incredible Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” due to its breathtaking beauty and diverse wildlife. We’ll descend into the vast crater floor, home to a wealth of animals including lions, elephants, zebras, and wildebeests, all surrounded by lush
greenery and stunning volcanic landscapes.
Prepare for an unforgettable safari experience as we will have our lunch next to the hippo- pool and continue to explore the diverse ecosystems within the crater, and marvel at the opportunity to witness wildlife in their natural habitat.

Day 5: - Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Masai village

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as we journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, heading toward the iconic Serengeti.
Along the way, we will stop at a Maasai village where you’ll have the opportunity to immerse
yourself in their fascinating culture. Learn about their unique way of life, from traditional customs to daily practices. Children in the group will learn how to jump high, light the fire in the nature and experience a traditional growing- up ceremony.
Continue to lunch at the Serengeti gate, preparing for an exciting afternoon safari as we enter the world renowned Serengeti National Park. Get ready for a game drive that takes us deeper into this incredible landscape, where wildlife roams freely and the vast
savannah stretches as far as the eye can see.
Our day culminates at the luxurious Tented Lodge in the northern Serengeti, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful night under the stars, surrounded by nature.

Day 6: - Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti (Mara River)

Today, you’ll continue your Great Migration adventure in Serengeti National Park as we
explore the key areas of migration such as the rim edge of Mara River hoping to capture a dramatic battle for wildebeest as they cross the river covered with crocodiles. This is where you get the true experience of the survival of the fittest as only strong capable wildebeest will pass through and join the herb heading to Maasai mara for the unfit and weak will be served as meal to the predator.
Then, we will head to central Serengeti.

Day 7: - Serengeti Safari and Flight to Zanzibar

Begin your day with a half- day safari through the stunning Serengeti, as we drive toward the
central part of the reserve. This is the perfect opportunity to spot even more wildlife, as we
explore the diverse landscapes of the Serengeti, from vast plains to riverine forests,
all teeming with animals. Enjoy the thrill of the chase and the serenity of nature as we head
deeper into this world-famous safari destination.
After an exciting morning, we’ll take a direct flight from the Serengeti to the tropical paradise of Zanzibar. As we land, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel, where you can unwind and relax in the island’s beauty.
Evening: Enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel, the perfect end to an action-packed day.

Day 8: - Exploring the East Coast of Zanzibar

Today, we’ll discover the enchanting east coast of Zanzibar. In the charming fishermen’s
village of Paje, we’ll stroll through houses built from coral stone, getting acquainted
with Swahili culture. We’ll visit a local factory where cosmetics are made from seaweed.
In Zanzibar, it’s the women who grow the seaweed, oversee the entire production
process, and manage and work in the factory—all done using traditional methods
with minimal electricity.
After some time enjoying the beautiful beach, we’ll take a boat trip to observe starfish in
their natural habitat. The boat ride concludes near the famous “The Rock” restaurant,
perched on a rock in the middle of the sea, providing a perfect photo opportunity.
In the final part of the day, we’ll visit Kae Funk Beach, a stunning bay with soft white
sand. Here, you’ll find a vibrant cocktail bar, an exciting acrobatic performance, and the
most breathtaking sunset in Zanzibar.

Day 9: - Safari Blue Adventure

Safari blue in Zanzibar is one of the most unique and breathtaking experiences the island has to offer, perfect for nature lovers, sea enthusiasts, and adventurers. This marine journey takes you into the heart of Zanzibar’s turquoise waters, where you’ll discover a rich and captivating world both above and below the surface.

Begin your day with a sail on traditional wooden dhows, combining ancient designs with local maritime techniques. From the start, you’ll feel immersed in the local culture.
Snorkeling in Coral-Rich Areas:

Day 10: - Spice Farm Visit and Departure

famous spice farms. Here, you’ll learn about the island’s rich history of spice cultivation, and
have the chance to see, touch, and smell exotic spices like cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. This is a unique cultural experience that will engage all your senses!
Afterward, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Tanzanian and Zanzibar adventure.
