Three Must-Try High End Restaurants in Tel Aviv

No matter your interest or objective when visiting Tel Aviv, there is something for everyone. From its Bauhaus architecture to the variety of international cuisines and highly rated restaurants, Tel Aviv is a modern city that retains much of its quaint charm and history.

Hailed as foodie central, Tel Aviv has much to offer no matter yours tastes, from the delightful street food to beachside fine dining.

With so many food options, it is difficult to limit the restaurants we want to feature. Here are three high end restaurants that we find ourselves revisiting time after time. The food is consistently good, and the ambiance is perfect for a special occasion, a fancy night out, a business meeting, or even a casual meetup with friends.

Manta Ray

It is hard to come by a high end restaurant right on the beach, but Manta Ray is exactly that. Mere steps from the sea on Alma Beach, Manta Ray’s outdoor seating offers a breathtaking view, especially during sunset. Given its proximity to the sea, Manta Ray naturally boasts a wide selection of fresh fish and seafood.

Herbert Samuel

Opened only eight years ago, Herbert Samuel is relatively young, but it has already established itself as one of the most refined restaurants in Tel Aviv. Headed by renowned chef Yonatan Roshfeld, Herbert Samuel provides a treat for your palate, as you sample the eclectic tapas on this modern dining experience.

Dallal

For a memorable dining experience away from the beach, Dallal, in the hip neighborhood of Neve

Tzedek, is the place to go. Built on the foundation of three restored houses, Dallal features an internal courtyard with an outdoor bar reminiscent of a past era. Let Chef Golan Garfunkel take you on a journey that connects the past and present through food.

If you cannot make it for a full meal at Dallal, be sure to stop at the Dallal Bakery for a taste of French-inspired Israeli pastries and desserts.

Be aware that parking may be hard to find around the restaurants, so a taxi might be the most convenient way to travel. We highly recommend reservations, especially for dinner.

If you are in need of a break and seek a taste of one of these restaurants, be sure to check out the Tel Aviv City Break Tour. The flexible scheduling is designed to give you an enjoyable short get-away and includes airfare as well as one dinner at Herbert Samuel, Dallal, Manta Ray, or Aubergine, the restaurant at InterContinental David Tel Aviv Hotel where you will be staying.

Enjoy the sites, taste the culinary delights, and experience the culture in this City of White the way you want.
