Among the mezze salads common in the Middle East and popular in ISRAEL, BABA GANOUSH (also spelled baba ghanoush) is totally one of the tastiest! A meal in itself it is surprisingly easy to make. Served with a small side salad and fresh pita or as an appetizer this classic is frequently served at weddings and many other special events in ISRAEL.
