Beginning with this Bar Mitzvah Safari, in Arusha National Park, travelers immediately dive into the African wilderness, encountering rare monkeys and giraffes, followed by a serene kayaking experience on Lake Duluti. Your Bar Mitzvah boy will experience an intimate ceremony in the local synagogue, led by the community Rabbi. The journey continues to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its elephant herds and baobab trees, culminating in an exhilarating zipline through the iconic trees. Days three and four offer profound experiences: exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder teeming with diverse wildlife, and engaging with the Maasai tribe, learning their traditions and customs.
The middle of the trip introduces unique cultural explorations. Day five takes you to Lake Eyasi, where you’ll meet the Hadza hunters and gatherers and the Datoga metalworkers, offering a rare glimpse into ancient lifestyles. Following this enriching experience, a flight transports you to Zanzibar, where the focus shifts to the island’s captivating east coast. Days six and seven are dedicated to Zanzibar’s coastal beauty, featuring visits to traditional fishing villages, seaweed farms, and the iconic “The Rock” restaurant. A highlight is the Safari Blue adventure, a day spent snorkeling in vibrant coral reefs and relaxing on pristine sandbars.
The final day provides a sensory experience at a spice farm, where you’ll learn about Zanzibar’s rich spice history, engaging all your senses. This concluding visit offers a perfect blend of education and cultural insight before the final transfer to the airport for departure. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome before heading straight to Arusha National Park, located at the foot of Mount Meru. This stunning park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, and it offers the unique opportunity to spot the rare lack and-white colobus monkeys and enjoy one of the highest concentrations of giraffes in Tanzania.
Prepare for an extraordinary Tanzanian adventure in Arusha, where thrilling safaris meet a surprising Jewish community. Your Bar Mitzvah boy will experience an intimate ceremony in the local synagogue, led by the community Rabbi, followed by a celebratory breakfast blending Tanzanian and Jewish flavors, creating a unique and unforgettable cultural experience amidst the African wilderness.
In Arusha, we’ll embark on a walking safari, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the African landscape. As we explore, we’ll not only encounter a variety of animals but also learn about medicinal plants and traditional survival techniques used by the Maasai tribe, giving you a deeper connection to the environment and local culture.
Overnight: Lake Duluti Lodge Arusha
We’ll start the day early with a visit to Lake Duluti, nestled within a volcanic crater. Here,
we’ll embark on a serene kayaking excursion, paddling across the tranquil waters while
surrounded by an incredible variety of birdlife and lush vegetation. This peaceful experience is a perfect way to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the Tanzanian
landscape.
After our kayaking adventure, we’ll continue our journey to Tarangire National Park, famous for having one of the highest concentrations of elephants in Tanzania, as well as its iconic giant baobab trees. Upon arriving at the park, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at the entrance before setting off on a thrilling afternoon safari, where we’ll have the chance to witness the magnificent wildlife, including large herds of elephants, lions, and other fascinating species.
Overnight: Lake Burunge Baobab
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll continue our safari in Tarangire National Park, exploring
more of its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants,
lions, and the many species that roam this unique park, known for its iconic baobab trees
and varied ecosystems. After lunch, we’ll leave the park and head towards an exhilarating adventure—zip-lining through the towering baobab trees. This thrilling activity offers a bird’s-eye view of the landscape and is sure to be an unforgettable experience!
Later in the day, we’ll visit a local orphanage, where you’ll have the opportunity to engage
in meaningful social and educational activities with the children, making this day not only
exciting but impactful as well.
Overnight: Acacia Farm Lodge – Karatu
Today promises an extraordinary adventure as we explore the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most remarkable natural wonders on the planet. Often called the “Garden of Eden,” this UNESCO World Heritage site is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including
lions, elephants, zebras, and rhinos.
We’ll descend into the crater floor for a thrilling safari, surrounded by stunning volcanic landscapes and diverse ecosystems.
Picnic lunch next to the hippo –pool. After our exciting safari, we’ll visit a Maasai
village, where we’ll immerse ourselves in the traditional way of life of this vibrant tribe. Learn
about their unique way of life, from traditional customs to daily practices. The children in the
group will learn how to jump high, light fire in the nature and experience a traditional growing up ceremony
Overnight: Acacia Farm Lodge – Karatu
Today we embark on a fascinating cultural journey to Lake Eyasi, where we will visit two unique tribes: the Hadza and the Datoga. First, we’ll meet the Hadza, an ancient tribe of
hunters and gatherers who live in caves and makeshift huts. Known for speaking one of the click languages, the Hadza offer a rare glimpse into an ancient way of life. We’ll join them in their daily activities and learn the traditional art of archery, shooting with bows and arrows alongside the tribe members.
Next, we’ll visit the Datoga tribe, known for their skills as herders and metalworkers. Here, we’ll witness how they craft arrows from recycled metals and gain insight into the vital traditional roles that women play within the community.
After this enriching cultural experience, we’ll head to the airport for our flight to the tropical
paradise of Zanzibar.Upon arrival in Zanzibar, we’ll be transferred to your hotel where you can relax and enjoy a delicious dinner to end the day.
Overnight in zanzibar: Toa Hotel Zanzibar
Today, we’ll discover the enchanting east coast of Zanzibar, starting with a visit to the charming fishermen’s village of Paje. Here, we’ll stroll through traditional houses made from coral stone, experiencing the essence of Swahili culture. We’ll also visit a local seaweed farm, where the women of Zanzibar cultivate the seaweed used to create handmade cosmetics. You’ll learn about the entire process, which is done the traditional way with
minimal electricity, showcasing the island’s sustainable practices.

After this fascinating visit, we’ll head to the beach, where you can unwind and enjoy some relaxation by the turquoise waters. Next, we’ll embark on a boat ride to observe the stunning starfish in their natural habitat, a mesmerizing sight in the shallow waters of the Indian Ocean. The boat ride will take us to the famous “The Rock restaurant, perched
dramatically on a rock in the middle of the ocean, where we’ll have time for stunning photos and a unique experience. As the day winds down, we’ll head to Kae Beach—a serene bay with soft, white sand. Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere, sip on cocktails at a cool beach bar, and watch a spectacular acrobat performance as the sun sets, offering the most beautiful sunset views in Zanzibar.
Today, get ready for an exciting Safari Blue adventure, one of Zanzibar’s most popular and breathtaking excursions! We’ll set out by boat from the island to explore the pristine waters and hidden gems of the Menai Bay Conservation Area. This area is known for
its crystal-clear waters, vibrant marine life, and beautiful sandbanks.
The day is filled with incredible activities, including snorkeling in some of the richest coral reefs in the region, where you’ll swim among colorful fish. You’ll also have the opportunity to relax on remote sandbars, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and bask in the tropical sun.
Lunch will be served on a stunning island, accompanied by refreshing drinks.
After a day of adventure, we’ll return to the shore, where you can unwind and relax, reflecting on the unforgettable moments of the day.
On your final day, we’ll visit one of Zanzibar’s famous spice farms, where you’ll discover the island’s rich history as a major spice producer. Guided by local experts, you’ll explore the
plantation and learn about the different spices grown here, including cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla. You’ll have the chance to touch, smell, and taste these aromatic plants, experiencing the flavors that have shaped Zanzibar’s cultural and economic history.
After this fascinating visit, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure, bringing your
incredible journey to a close.
